Original 1st United States edition (printed in March/April of 1969 by Darien House of New York, it is the 2nd "official" printing) 33&1/8 x 46&1/2" extra-large European "kiosk"-style concert poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing at the Beethovenshalle in Stuttgart, (West) Germany on 1/15/1969* (the Stuttgart show was actually on the 19th, the 1/15 date was made up specifically for this edition of the poster). Design by Gunther Kieser, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 311 (plate 3.185). Medium-thick flat index "fly posting" stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there are a series of semi-flattened horizontal/vertical machine-crease folds (item was issued folded into 1/8ths) with a bit of wear along the creases and in the intersections of the folds, along with a fairly heavy amount of corner wear (staple/pin holes/tears/tiny areas of missing paper), a number of stray surface dings/stray pin-prick holes/spots, stress bends, a bit of staining and a small wedge tear in the bottom margin, handling/edge wear, a large tear in the left center margin (sealed on the reverse with archival tape)... the photograph should give a pretty good idea of what the deal is on this one. Conditional issues aside, it remains a very impressive example of the EXTRA-LARGE version of this iconic European Jimi Hendrix poster.
