Original 1st printing 15 x 4" unpeeled day-glo concert advertisement bumper sticker for Jefferson Airplane, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Muddy Waters appearing together at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland (*canceled) in San Francisco, CA from 9/23-25/1966 and from 9/30-10/2/1966.

 

 Art by John H. Myers, image is featured on page 147 of the Art of Rock book (plate 2.55) and corresponds with image # 29 ("The Sound") in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

 

 Unpeeled/backed sticker features thick silk-screened black ink onto a florescent/day-glo orange sticker and is in very good (B/B+) condition; a touch of peeling on the reverse, a trace of of surface wear/light smudging/adhesive bleed and a couple of tiny corner tip splits (bottom left/top right), otherwise fine.

 

 Really neat little original artifact from the BG 29 shows. As an additional note of provenance, this example was given personally (in 1973) by Bill Graham himself to a long-time (30 year) employee of BGP.... IMPECCABLE lineage on this piece!
