Pair of original 1st printing concert posters (both approximately 14 x 21") for a pair of Bill Graham-produced 1968 shows held at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco, CA; the first is for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band appearing with the Charles Lloyd Quartet and the Ultimate Spinach at the Fillmore from 1/18-20/1968, along with a poster for Big Brother and the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with the Youngbloods, Ultimate Spinach and Electric Flag at the Fillmore on 1/25/1968 and at Winterland from 1/26-27/1968.
Art (both posters) by Jack Hatfield with photography by Louis Sozzi, images are #'s 103 (Butterfield) and 104 (Big Brother) in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Both posters are in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition overall; they both have tack/pin holes in each corner and one or two around the outer margin area, light surface wear/handling, a bit of minor edge/corner wear and a few tape pulls/stains on the reverse side of both posters (additionally, the 103 has an extensive amount of pen scratch/writing on the reverse- a design for what looks like either a light box or a speaker, hard to say), otherwise fine.
Nice-looking pair of original 1st printing Fillmore posters from early 1968.
