Original 1st printing 15 x 19&7/8" concert poster for a series of shows held at the See nightclub in Detroit, MI from 6/30-7/4/1967. Shows listed include the MC5 with the Charles Moore Ensemble on 6/30, CME (again) with Billy C. and the Sunshine on 7/1, Billy C. (again) with Seventh Seal on 7/2 and again on 7/4, along with a special Independence Day poetry reading with John Sinclair, Jim Semark and more. Art by (and SIGNED in black sharpie by) Gary Grimshaw, the image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 245. Medium-thin flat index stock poster has been professionally restored to near mint/excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; the piece has been washed, leaving behind a bit of subtle moisture warping, along with a sealed 3&1/2" vertical tear in the bottom margin (going through the "et" of "Detroit"), corner/margin repair (tack hole fills, sealed tears) and there are still one or two ULTRA-tiny surface/edge dings that remain, but overall the piece looks nothing short of SUPERB. KILLER ARTIST-SIGNED original 1st printing example of this very patriotic Gary Grimshaw image from mid-1967.
