Original 1st printing (3rd/final state- thin paper version) 28 x 22" concert/event poster for the 7/3-5/1970 2nd Atlanta International Pop Festival, held in Byron, GA. Art by Lance Bragg, image (with ticket) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 390 (plate 4.178). Poster lists appearances by: Procol Harum, the Allman Brothers Band, B.B. King, It's A Beautiful Day, Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band the Chambers Brothers, Mountain, Ginger Baker's Air Force, Richie Havens, Jimi Hendrix, the Hampton Grease Band, Taos, Ballin' Jack, Bloodrock, John B. Sebastian, Jethro Tull, Ten Years After, Spirit, Ravi Shankar, Terry Reid, Cactus, Gypsy and Johnny Winter, along with a "Symposium of Awareness" with Yogi Bhajan, a giant fireworks display, super jam sessions and more. Thin glossy stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; each corner has an approximately 1/2-1&1/2" area of missing paper, along with small pieces of clear tape, a tiny nip tear or two, there is a 3&1/2" horizontal tear in the lower left corner (going through "camping"), a series of light handling dings and tiny stress creases throughout, a bit of minor edge creasing and a small nip tear or two, otherwise fine- the main body of the poster looks pretty good, most of the damage is limited to the corners. Very decent looking example of this iconic festival image from the second Atlanta Pop. Check out the unedited Associated Press raw footage HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPtwiB1FZro
