Original 1st printing 23 x 35" extra-large boxing-style concert/event poster for the 7/17-19/1970 New York Pop Festival, held at Randall's Island in New York City. Design by Brave New World Productions, poster lists appearances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad and John B. Sebastian (7/17), Tony Williams Lifetime featuring Miles Davis, Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce (*canceled), Ten Years After, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Richie Havens and Ravi Shankar (7/18), and Joe Cocker with Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Mountain, Jethro Tull, Van Morrison, Dr. John the Night Tripper and the Voices of East Harlem (7/19). Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a decent-sized moisture stain running along the bottom border (mostly on the right side, where it extends up about 1" or so into the body of the poster but nowhere near any of the type), along with a 1" hard diagonal bend in the upper right corner, a series of light handling dings here and there, a 1" tear in the lower left corner, a minor amount of edge/corner creasing and a few soft tiny pin-prick stains and thin stress creases scattered around the image area, otherwise fine. Looks great overall. INCREDIBLY SCARCE original 1970 event poster (Jimi's last-ever NYC performance) from the notorious Randall's Island festival. Here's a great clip of Van Morrison performing "Come Running" from the 7/19 show; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO7lrrofy6I
