 ITEM DESCRIPTION
 Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" boxing-style schedule concert handbill for a series of Sid Bernstein Presents shows held in and around New York City in the summer of 1965.

 Shows listed include: Herman's Hermit's at the Academy of Music (6/12), the Dave Clark Five at the Academy of Music (6/18), the Kinks and the Moody Blues (First American Concert) at the Academy of Music (6/19), the New York Folk Festival featuring Phil Ochs, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Buffy St. Marie, Muddy Waters, Dave Van Ronk, Bob Gibson and Mississippi John Hurt at Carnegie Hall (6/17-20) and the Beatles at Shea Stadium (8/15).

  Designer/printer unknown (possibly Murray Poster of NYC, but there is no credit), image is featured on page 2 of the Art of Rock.

 Thin flat stock letterpress handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a trio of pressed-out horizontal folds (as issued, handbills were folded into 1/3rds and mailed in envelopes), along with a tiny 3/4" crescent-shaped tear in the top center margin, a tiny worm hole and a thin pull/surface pull in the left center margin, a couple of ultra-tiny handling dings/stress creases here and there and a tiny pin-prick age spot under "20", otherwise fine.

 REALLY nice-looking specimen of this HISTORIC 1965 concert handbill, highlighted by the legendary Shea Stadium debut of the Beatles. The show was professionally shot for an ABC-TV special, check out footage of "Help" HERE;
