Original 1st printing 14 x 17" concert poster for It's A Beautiful Day appearing with Big Mama Thornton and Country Weather at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 2/14-16/1969.

 

 Art by underground comix legends Robert (R.) Crumb and Gilbert Shelton ("Freak Brothers", "Wonder Warthog", image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 111 (plate 2.27).

 Medium glossy-coated index stock poster (printed by Rip Off Press) is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are a series of semi-pronounced horizontal roll creases, along with a set of pin/tack holes, a piece of toned clear tape in the lower right corner, a series of edge creases going around all four margins, along with a decent-sized horizontal moisture stain in the lower left corner, a thin strip of dark discoloration along the top right margin and a decent-sized set of tape pulls on the reverse, otherwise fine.

 

 A fine-looking moderately-used example of Crumb & Shelton's classic "Jukebox" image from the Soundproof series, this one would look great in a nice frame.
