Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and the Congress of Wonders at the Shrine Exhibition Hall in Los Angeles, CA on 12/18/1966.
Design by Gut, image (an identical image from Winterland) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 194 (plate 2.207).
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are pin/staple holes in each corner, a few ultra-thin vertical bends here and there, a small puncture hole just to the right of "Co.", light handling wear, a few soft thin bends scattered around the image area, a bit of creasing/tightening on "Market", a hint of surface wear and a series of ultra-tiny pin-prick age spots in the lower left quadrant, otherwise fine.
Nice-looking gently-used example of this EARLY Quicksilver/Big Brother concert poster from Los Angeles (almost a year before Pinnacle Productions began promoting shows at the Shrine).
