Original 1st printing 16&1/2 x 22&7/8" hand-pulled silkscreen concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Alvin Pivil on the Quadrangle of the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, MO on 4/17/1969. Designer unknown/not credited (photo by Herb Greene), medium-thick textured vellum silkscreen poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; the main issue on this example is an approximately 1&1/2-2" strip of discoloration/fading traversing the upper border area (apparently this paper is highly acidic and very reactive to sunlight), along with a few tiny creases/bends scattered around the outer margin area and a few hiding within the image area, a tiny corner crease or two and a series of handling bends along the top edge otherwise fine. VERY hard-to-find low-run regional Grateful Dead poster from a relatively small Midwestern college show. The print run for this poster was apparently QUITE low, and a number of them have different-colored "GRATEFUL DEAD" lettering (I have also seen red and mustard-yellow), so each example is fairly unique.
