Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" double-sided concert/event handbill for a pair of benefit concerts ("Free John Now", to provide legal aid for the then-incarcerated John Sinclair) featuring MC5 appearing with Frijid Pink, Up, Carnal Kitchen and Trunion Brothers at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI on 7/29/1970 backed with an ad for the Amboy Dukes (with Ted Nugent) appearing with Up, Brat and Otis at the Union Ballroom in Ann Arbor, MI on 8/3/1970. Art by Gary Grimshaw, thin flat stock handbill is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there is a fairly pronounced horizontal/diagonal center crease, light handling wear, a bit of subtle moisture warp to the paper, a bit of toning along the top left edge of the Amboy Dukes side, a couple of small edge tears in the top center margin and a few tiny pin-prick surface dings here and there, otherwise fine. MEGA-SCARCE Gary Grimshaw- designed handbill from 1970, first one of these I have ever seen.
