Original 1st printing 16 x 26&1/2" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Albert King and Pacific Gas & Electric at the Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles, CA from 5/2-4/1968.
Art by Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso (who has also SIGNED the poster in silver ink), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 277 (plate 3.69) and is part of the Pinnacle/Shrine series.
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock sheet is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; a set of tack holes (all four corners) with a small 1/2" diagonal chunk out of the top left corner tip, a series of pronounced creases running along the top/bottom margins (with several areas of ink cracking and a few decent-sized tears (sealed on the reverse) along the top margin), tiny creases/bends in each of the four corners, a few stray surface scuffs/pin-prick spots and a stray tack/pin hole or two hiding within the image area... this one is definitely a bit on the used side, but it's all there.
Very whimsical original 1968 Big Brother concert poster from the earliest days of the underground comix era.
