Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for the 6/28-7/2/1967 Grand Opening of the Western Front, featuring the Siegal-Schwall Blues Band, the Charlatans, Congress of Wonders and Bill Ham's Light Sound Dimension, plus (Sat. only) Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Quicksilver Messenger Service.
Art by Greg Irons, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 192 (plate 2.203).
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there is a pronounced horizontal center crease, multiple staple/pin holes in each corner and in the left/right center margins, a small drag tear and bend in the lower left corner, a hint of toning, a 1" round surface stain on the rear wagon wheel (green ink/paint?), a few stray pin-prick surface stains and a light degree of toning, otherwise fine.
Conditional issues aside, this is still a really neat-looking little mid-'67 San Francisco poster with a great Greg Irons design.
