Original 1st printing 17&3/8 x 22&1/2" concert poster for "A Festival of the Boston Sound", held at the Boston Tea Party (53 Berkeley St location) in Boston, MA from 1/19-20/1968. These shows were a celebration of the 1st year of operation for the venue and featured performances by Hallucinations (featuring Peter Wolf, later of the J. Geils Band) appearing with the Beacon Street Union and Butter on 1/19 and the Bagatelle appearing with Jesse's First Carnival on 1/20. Artist unknown/not credited, medium-thick flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a roughly 2 x 4" area of creasing from the bottom of "Carnival" extending down to the bottom margin, along with a thin 4" diagonal bend in the lower right corner, a few small semi-thin bends/creases in the left center margin, a few tiny pin-prick stains here and there, a hint of edge toning with a few tiny creases/dings scattered around the outer edges, a hint of surface wear and a small 1/2" tear in the upper right margin, otherwise fine. ULTRA-uncommon early-'68 Tea Party poster from the venue's first anniversary event.
