Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer and 2&1/4 x 3&5/8" photographer's pass for the 7/17-19/1970 New York Pop Festival, held at Randall's Island in New York City. Design by Brave New World Productions, flyer lists appearances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad and John B. Sebastian (7/17), Tony Williams Lifetime featuring Miles Davis, Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce, Ten Years After, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Richie Havens and Ravi Shankar (7/18), Joe Cocker with Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Mountain, Jethro Tull, Van Morrison, Dr. John the Night Tripper and the Voices of East Harlem. Thin flat stock flyer is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a series of flattened horizontal/vertical/diagonal folds, a few tiny edge tears/nicks scattered around the outer edges, a thin sliver out of the left margin, light handling, a 3/4" vertical tear in the bottom center margin and a touch of soft age spotting/toning, otherwise fine. The pass (printed on thin index card stock and stamped "Jul. 18 1970" is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a bit of handling and a couple of tiny edge/corner splits, but overall it's in pretty nice shape. VERY, VERY uncommon pair of New York Pop items from the notorious Randall's Island event, here's a clip of Jimi performing "Foxy Lady" on 7/17;
