Original 1st printing 33" x 45" EXTRA-LARGE European kiosk-style concert poster for the "Hippy Happy Festival", held at the Ahoy Heliport in Rotterdam, NL (Holland) from 11/10-14/1967.
Performers listed include: the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett), the Bee Gees, Gino Washington & the Ram Jam Band, Q65, Daddy's Act, Armand, Boudewijn de Groot, the Buffons, Cuby & The Blizzards and the Rob Hoeke R&B Band.
Designer unknown (VERY reminiscent of/similar to Hapshash & the Coloured Coat (Michael English and Nigel Waymouth), thin vellum "fly-posting" (rough/tacky reverse- poster has a thin rice-paper backing for stability) stock poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; in addition to the backing, there are a few edge tears that have been sealed with a bit of minor surface touch-up, along with a few light stress bends/handling dings floating around the image/outer margin area, a few light smudges along the right margin, a few pressed-out creases, a tiny pin-prick surface spot or two (a tiny white pull on the "i" of "Hippy") and a few other relatively minor issues, but overall the piece looks nothing short of SPECTACULAR.
An absolutely INCREDIBLE-looking late-'67 over-sized Hendrix/Floyd concert item from Holland, this one takes up a LOT of space, but is WITHOUT A DOUBT one of the COOLEST-looking psychedelic concert posters I have ever had up for auction. This show was Jimi's ONLY Dutch concert appearance.
