Official unknown (Big O Posters, early 1970's) printing 27&3/4 x 36&1/2" art poster by legendary Australian artist (and one-time Cream co-lyricist) Martin Sharp featuring a wild-looking Jackson Pollock-esque portrait (based on a 1967 Linda Eastman (McCartney) photo) of the one and only Jimi Hendrix. The image was originally commissioned in 1968 for UK underground publication, "OZ" and printed shortly after it appeared as a full-page image in the magazine. Medium-thick glossy stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there's a series of very well-camouflaged tiny creases/stress bends along the top/bottom margins, a hint of handling wear and a tiny surface ding or two hiding within the image area, but overall this is one of the cleaner examples I have seen over the years. WITHOUT A DOUBT, this is one of the most powerful (and overtly psychedelic) Hendrix images ever committed to paper. Absolutely EYE-SEARING Hendrix poster.
