Original 1st printing 12&5/8 x 18&7/8" schedule-style concert poster for a series of shows held at Thee Image in Miami Beach, FL over the month of April 1968.
Artist/designer unknown, shows listed include: Country Joe & the Fish from 4/5-7, the Yardbirds (featuring Jimmy Page) from 4/8-10 and the Grateful Dead from 4/12-14 (the band returned for another engagement from 4/19-21 and also played a "Love-In" in nearby Greynolds Park on Easter Sunday, the 14th). There was also an unannounced "special" show on 4/11 that featured a performance by Cream (*more on that below) and all shows were supported by either the Blues Image (who also helped to run the club), the Bangles or Kollections.
Medium flat index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are staple holes in each of the four corners with a tiny wedge pull in the upper left margin/edge, a slight horizontal curl to the paper, a series of very well-camouflaged horizontal stress bends running along the top/bottom margins and within the image area, a soft brown stain in the right center margin, a series of tiny edge tears/nicks and small creases running along the left margin, otherwise fine.
AWESOME-looking low-run oddball '68 psychedelic poster with a REALLY interesting/cool back story.... for instance, the previously mentioned unadvertised 4/11 Cream show. Apparently, the booking was kept secret from the public by the promoters, but hinted at HEAVILY during the Country Joe and Yardbirds shows as a "Spring Break special" (it was that time of year in Florida, after all...); apparently word got out quickly! Someone at the show even managed to pop off a snapshot of Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker performing on Thee Image's stage (also Jimmy Page from the same week).
