Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for a show (*benefit for STDW ("Stop The Draft Week" Defense Fund) featuring Phil Ochs appearing with Mad River, Blue Cheer, Loading Zone, Mount Rushmore and the Committee, held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 1/7/1968.

 

 Artist unknown/not credited, image is not a part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this event falls between the BG 101 and 102 shows), but it is featured in the "Fillmore Benefits" chapter of the Art of Rock book (page 151, plate 2.72) *there is another version of this flyer with a slightly different design.

 

 Thin flat stock flyer is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a bit of moisture-related creasing concentrated around the lower left margin area, a semi-flattened horizontal crease going across the center of the image, a few light handling marks and tiny stress creases here and there and a touch of toning, otherwise fine.

 

An overall great-looking example of this HIGHLY politically-inspired Fillmore anti-Vietnam War benefit flyer from early-'68.
