Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for Jefferson Airplane appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on 4/8/1966.
Designer unknown/not credited (possibly Bob Collins), the poster image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 145 (plate 2.46). (*This is a monochrome flyer)
Thin flat stock flyer is in decent (B/B- to B-) condition; there are a pair of decent-sized horizontal bends traversing the center of the image area from the upper left to the lower right margins, a moderate amount of creasing/moisture wear throughout, a number of tiny pin-prick surface stains, a pair of tape shadows in the top/bottom center margins, a few stray pin/tack holes hiding within the image area and a tiny wedge tear in the upper left corner, otherwise fine.
VERY EARLY and hard-to-find Jefferson Airplane/Quicksilver flyer from the brief period in early 1966 when the Fillmore was still being used by a number of independent promoters, right before Bill Graham secured the lease (*this show is between the BG #1 and BG #2 shows).
