Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for the 1/14/1967 Gathering of the Tribes/Human Be-In, held at the Polo Grounds in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This version lists appearances by counterculture heroes Lenore Kandel, Timothy Leary, Michael McClure, Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, Richard Alpert, Jerry Rubin, Dick Gregory, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and "all SF rock bands" (which included Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Charlatans, the Grateful Dead, Country Joe & the Fish, Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin) and more).

Thin flat textured stock flyer is in good (B) condition; tack holes in all four corners with a thin vertical rusty staple mark in the top right corner, a light degree of toning, a pair of nearly-invisible bends in the left center margin, a series of tiny thin surface scuffs in the left center of the image area, a stray pin-prick age spot or two lurking around the image area/margins and a few light handling dings, otherwise fine.
A very sweet-looking example of this classic Rick Griffin flyer from one of the largest events in counterculture history.
