Original 1st printing 11 x 16&1/2" concert/event poster for the "8 Day Music & Fashion Festival", held at the Olympia in London, England from 5/29-6/6/1970. Designer unknown, poster advertises performances by Bo Diddley, Procol Harum, Tyrannosaurus Rex (with Marc Bolan), Colosseum, Black Sabbath, Trader Horne, Wild Angels, Matthews Southern Comfort, Caravan, Big Grunt, Steamhammer, Julie Felix, Tremoloes, Harmony Grass, Love Affair, Foundations, Staus Quo, Simon Dee, John Peel, Mike Raven and Pete Drummond. (*not listed, but did appear- Syd Barrett (and David Gilmour) from Pink Floyd; this was Syd's second (and FINAL) live solo appearance) Medium-thin flat vellum stock silkscreen poster is in fantastic near mint (A-/B+) condition; aside from a few light surface scratches/scuffs and a few light handling dings and tiny stress bends, this example is pretty much as sharp as they come. VERY whimsical little UK event poster with a GREAT lineup and a fascinating backstory. Want to know how Syd sounded? Click HERE; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d7SL8zf-9Q
