Original 1st printing 9&1/2 x 12&1/2" double-sided concert flyer for the 13th Floor Elevators appearing with the Sir Douglas Quintet at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 9/2-3/1966.

 

 Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley (Mouse! Studios), image is # 24 in the Family Dog/Avalon series (OHB-A in the Eric King Guide, this is the lighter-red/pink ink version with an advertisement for "I.D. Magazine" on the reverse).

 

 Thin flat stock flyer is in decent (B to B/B-) condition; there is a small 3/4" area of missing paper in the top left margin, a series of semi-pronounced bends and handling creases throughout the piece, a series of hairline-thin vertical stress bends in the lower left quadrant, a quartet of tape pulls on the reverse (resulting in a bit of thinning in the corners) and a few tiny edge dings, otherwise fine.

 

 REALLY cool and early flyer from the Avalon featuring a fantastic all-Texas psychedelic lineup.
