Original 1st printing 21&3/4 x 11" concert poster for Van Morrison appearing with Black Pearl and Saloom Sinclair & Mother Bear at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 1/31-2/2/1969.

 

 Art by Rick Griffin, image ("Junk Yard") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 108 (plate 2.23) and is part of the Soundproof Presents series.

 

 Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B+) condition; there are a series of extremely thin vertical stress cracks in the lower left margin/corner, plus a number of tiny edge dings, a pair of razor-thin vertical scratch marks in the upper right center margin, a few stray surface scratches and loose pinch bends (most are fairly well-camouflaged) and a sextet of light tape pulls on the reverse, otherwise fine.

 

 An overall very decent-looking example of this eyeball-straining 1969 Rick Griffin classic from the Soundproof series.
