Original 1st printing 25 x 37&1/2" extra-large event poster for the 7/17/1967 opening of the Joint Show, held at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, CA and featuring music by Country Joe & the Fish and exhibited art by Wes Wilson (who did this version of the poster), Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley and more.
Art by the aforementioned Wes Wilson, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 235 (plate 2.349).
Thick high-gloss coated index stock poster (printed by Neal, Stratford & Kerr) is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a bit of creasing/wear and a couple of tiny tears in the lower left/right margins, a few stray handling dings/fingerprints (mostly along the top/bottom margins), a thin vertical ink streak in the bottom center margin and a bit of excessive inking in the credit area, otherwise fine.
Absolutely GORGEOUS 1967 Wes Wilson image, and the only Joint Show poster that mentions the appearance of Country Joe & the Fish.
