Original 1st printing 13&5/8 x 20&7/8" undated concert poster for the weekly "Tuesday Night Jam", a local musician's gathering held at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA during the spring of 1968. Art by (and SIGNED in gold ink by) Stanley Mouse, image ("Tuesday Night Pig Jam") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 181 (plate 2.170). Medium flat index stock poster is in VERY sharp near mint (A-) condition; with the exception of a nearly-invisible handling ding or two and the slightest hint of curl to the paper, it is an absolutely UNBEATABLE crisp/sharp ARTIST-SIGNED example of this classic Mouse-designed Carousel image from mid-'68. According to author Rhoney Stanley in her recent book "Owsley and Me", the sleepy-eyed pig is a portrait of none other than jam host Elvin "Pigboy Crabshaw" Bishop! A tape also circulates of the 5/21/1968 jam, which featured Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane), Jerry Garcia and Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead), Elvin Bishop, Steve Miller and Will Scarlett.
