Pair of original 1st printing 10&7/8 x 14&3/4" concert posters for the Grateful Dead appearing with the Power of Evil, OM and Hemp Plant on 10/14/1967 and the Seeds appearing with Kid Afrika and the Flowers on 10/21/1967, both at the Continental Ballroom in Santa Clara, CA, along with a 1st-edition copy of "Guru" (Volume 1, issue #1), a locally-produced underground rock-scene newspaper (in which both posters were originally distributed).
Art by (both posters SIGNED in blue pen by) Frank Cannon, medium-thin semi-gloss textured stock (Grateful Dead) and thin flat index stock (Seeds) posters are both in excellent to near mint (B+ to B+/A-) condition; each poster has a few minor handling dings and a stray edge/corner ding or two, but overall both items are in GREAT shape.
The newspaper (11 x 14&7/8", 8 pages total on thin newsprint) has a touch of toning and a hint of spine/edge wear, but for the most part it is in REALLY sharp condition for a 49-year-old newspaper- completely intact, no torn/missing/doodled pages.
EXTREMELY cool ARTIST-SIGNED set of original items from the South Bay's answer to the Fillmore!
