Pair of original 1st printing concert handbills for the April and September 1970 schedule of concerts/performances at the Matrix in San Francisco, CA. 

 

 Art by (April schedule is also SIGNED in pencil by) Mark Behrens, bands/acts listed on handbills include: Big Brother and the Holding Company, T-Bone Walker, Vince Guaraldi, Jerry Hahn Brotherhood, Rhythm Dukes, Sandy Bull (April) and Charley Musselwhite, Harvey Mandel, Big Brother (again), Siegel-Schwall and (H.P.) Lovecraft (September)

 

 The April schedule is 5&1/2 x 7", on thin flat index stock, and is in near mint (A-) condition; just a light amount of edge/surface wear, otherwise fine.

 

 The September flyer is 5&7/8 x 8&3/8", on extra-thin flat stock and is in excellent (B+) condition; a 3/4" tear in the lower left margin, a few tiny pin-prick age spots, light surface wear and a minor amount of handling, otherwise fine.

 

 Very nice little pair of Behrens-designed Matrix handbills from 1970.
