Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" concert handbill for Los Angeles psych-rockers Love (featuring Arthur Lee) appearing with the Sons of Adam and the Charlatans at the Fillmore Auditorium (this was the final FD show held at the Fillmore) in San Francisco, CA from 4/8-9/1966.
Art by Wes Wilson, image ("Dirty Old Man") is # 4 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Thin flat stock handbill has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; there has been a bit of repair in each of the corners and around the edges (tape stains/shadows and a lightly discolored area), along with a fair amount of re-touching on the FD logo (it had been painted in at one time with day-glo paint) and there remain a pair of almost-invisible pin holes (top/bottom center margin) and a bit of pen scratch on the reverse ("Courtesy Editor's Archives" in blue pen, this example was photographed for the book "San Franciscan Nights"), but the overall look of the piece is VERY nice indeed.
A superb-looking example of this VERY early Family Dog handbill.
