 ITEM DESCRIPTION

Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" double-sided concert flyer and 2 x 1&5/8" ticket stub for the Grateful Dead appearing with Take Five and Peggy Emerson at the Village Theater (precursor to the Fillmore East) in New York City from 12/26-27/1967

Design by Take Five (opening band), thin flat stock flyer is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; a set of semi-flattened horizontal/vertical folds (item was folded into 1/8ths and pocketed at the time with the attendee's stub) with a 1&1/2" split and a series of tiny bends in the top center margin, a moderate degree of handling wear, a bit of creasing along the bottom edge and a few minor surface dings here and there, otherwise fine.

The stub (General Admission, $3.75) is in fine shape overall, there is a light amount of handling and a bit of ballpoint pen scratch on the reverse ("Dead"), but there are no real issues beyond that... VERY early stub.

An absolutely KILLER pair of items from this VERY early pre-Fillmore NYC Grateful Dead show. Dennis McNally's book talks about snow falling through a hole in the roof at this show.
