Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for Jefferson Airplane appearing with the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 7/22-23/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse (who has also HAND-SIGNED this example in black razor-tip pen) and Alton Kelley (with the central image borrowed from Franz (Von) Stuck), image is # 17 in the Family Dog/Avalon series (this version is purple ink on pink stock, OHB-C in the Eric King guide).
Thin flat stock flyer is in excellent (B+) condition; a couple of tiny staple holes in the top/bottom center margin, a tiny 1/8" nip out of the top left corner tip, a bit of light creasing along the top margin, a tiny 1/2" diagonal bend and a couple of small creases in the lower left corner, an ultra-soft bend in the left center of the oval and a whisper of handling, otherwise fine.
A great-looking ARTIST-SIGNED example of this VERY early concert flyer from the Avalon.
