Original 1st printing 19 x 26" silkscreen concert/event poster for the (Fourth Annual) Big Sur Folk Festival, held at Esalen Hot Springs in Big Sur, CA on 6/28-29/1967.

 Art by J. Myrick, poster lists festival participants: Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Mimi Fariña, Mark Spolestra and the Jade Muse, Malvina Reynolds, Al Kooper (Blues Project/Bob Dylan/BS&T) and the Chambers Brothers.

 Medium-thick flat index stock hand-pulled silkscreen poster is in good (B) condition; there is a fairly pronounced horizontal center crease, a set of tack holes (all four corners), a 3/4 x 1/2" diagonal wedge of paper missing from the bottom right corner tip, a pair of thin diagonal/vertical bends (each about 5" long) in the lower left margin/edge, a few light handling/surface dings here and there, a pair of small splatter stains on the "n" of "Collins" and on the "r" of "Spolestra", hand-written (in black flair pen) ticket outlet information along the bottom margin and a few minor edge dings, otherwise fine.

 An absolutely GORGEOUS poster from the 1967 edition of the annual folk music get-together, printed with ultra-bright florescent ink, featuring a great design -can't beat it. Read more about Esalen HERE:
