Original 1st printing 21 x 25&5/8" DOUBLE-SIDED concert poster(s) for Lord August and His Visions of Life appearing with the Georgetown Medical Band at the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, TX on 1/5-6/1968 (art by Robert Rush, image ("Dragon") is #10 in the VG/Vulcan Gas Company series) backed with an untrimmed proof of the Vulcan Gas Company # 6 image, featuring Lightnin' Hopkins appearing with the Conqueroo at the VGC from 12/1-2/1967 (art by Tony Bell/VGC logo by Gilbert Shelton). Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster/sheet is in SUPERB near mint (A-/B+) condition; just a pair of tiny thin corner bends (left/right side, depending on which side), a tiny bit of pencil scratch in the lower white border of the proof ("V#6" in light pencil), a thin soft vertical bend in the bottom center margin, a bit of red ink smear covering the image on the VG 10 side, a few nearly-invisible edge dings and that's IT... VERY sharp/clean otherwise. INCREDIBLY COOL and UNIQUE Vulcan Gas item, this was very likely a remaindered test proof/press wipe, but the fascinating aspect is how far apart the two images are in the series; there is over a month (and several images- #7, 8 AND 9) between them. One of the most peculiar VGC pieces I have ever seen!
