Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for the San Francisco State University homecoming "Edwardian Ball", featuring appearances by Jefferson Airplane and Demon Lover and held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 11/6/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse, image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this event falls on the same date as the final date of the BG 35 Muddy Waters run of shows), and is featured on page 154 of the Art of Rock book (plate 2.81).
Thin flat stock flyer is in good (B) condition; tack holes in the top left/right corners, a light to moderate amount of edge/corner wear (a series of tiny creases and a couple of tiny surface pulls from tape removal), a thin soft diagonal bend going from the "an" of "Edwardian" down to the bottom margin (where it says "Geary"), along with a thin vertical center crease, a soft surface stain in the lower right margin and a series of tiny black ink marks along the right edge of the image area (likely from the press), otherwise fine.
A very charming old Stanley Mouse concert flyer from late 1966 with a great psychedelic design. This flyer (and several others we are featuring in this sale) comes from the collection of underground comix artist (and personal friend of Rick Griffin and Rick Shubb) George Metzger.
