Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for rock & roll pioneer Bo Diddley appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 7/28-30/1966. Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is # 18 in the Family Dog/Avalon series, this is the red/orange ink (OHB-A) version. Thin flat stock flyer is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; a small 1/2 x 1" chunk of paper out of the left center margin, a semi-pronounced thin horizontal center crease, a 1/4" tear and tape pulls in the top margin, a couple of more tape pulls in the right center margin, left/right bottom corner tips and bottom center margin, a series of soft handling dings and thin bends and a minor registration issue along the bottom edge (Berkeley ticket outlet info is "sliced"), otherwise fine. A fine-looking (if a bit used) example of this early (1966) Avalon flyer by the inimitable Mouse & Kelley.
