Original 1st printing 20 x 14&1/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Blue Cheer and Eighth Penny Matter at the Family Dog at 1601 West Evans in Denver, CO on 9/8-9/1967. (*1st Family Dog held shows at the venue).

 Art by Rick Griffin, image is # 79/D-1 in the Family Dog/Denver series. This is the small format (OP-1 in the Eric King Guide) version.

 Medium flat index stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; a soft pinch bend with a couple of tiny thin stress creases in the lower left corner/margin, one or two tiny edge/corner dings, a pin-prick stain in the right center margin, a pair of thin black scuff marks on the reverse and a couple of nearly-invisible handling dings hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.

 VERY nice-looking example of the very first poster in the FD Denver series.
