Original 1st printing (OP-1, the black and white version) 14 x 24&1/2" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Muddy Waters appearing together at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco, CA from 9/23-25 and from 9/30-10/2/1966. (*Winterland shows were canceled/moved back to the Fillmore)

 

 Art by Wes Wilson, image ("The Sound") is # 29 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

 

 Medium flat index stock poster is in STUNNING near mint (A-) condition; aside from a nearly-invisible thin crease along the top margin, a tiny bend in the lower left corner tip and one or two stray surface dings hiding within the image area, otherwise it is an UNBEATABLE bright/crisp example of the OP-1 version of "The Sound".

 

 As a side note, these shows were Bill Graham's first extended-engagement bookings, covering two full weeks... they WOULD have been the first BG Winterland shows, if not for the unfortunate circumstances transpiring in the neighborhood at the time (Hunter's Point riots).
