Original 1st printing 13&1/2 x 23&1/2" silkscreen "concert" poster that was created for the 1980 edition of Seattle's long-running Bumbershoot Arts Festival.
Titled "A Human Be-In Volcano", the poster commemorates the 5/18/1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens with an imagined event featuring such favorites as "Muddy Waters", "P.H. Phracture Jug Band" and "Sole Survivors", along with lights by "Magma Circus".
Art by (and SIGNED, dated and numbered 17/28 in pencil by) Doug Fast, medium-thick flat vellum stock hand-pulled silkscreen poster is in good (B/B-) condition; a pair of 1" tears in the right margin (one with a small pressure crease), a series of horizontal roll bends (slight ink cracking in a few areas), a series of thin stress bends and surface scuffs hiding within the image area, a couple of small edge dings along the left/right margins, a couple of thin diagonal bends in the lower right corner and a light amount of toning, otherwise fine.
GREAT-looking design on this one! It really looks like it could have come right from 1967.
