Original 1st printing 13&7/8 x 18&1/4" benefit concert poster for HALO (the Haight-Ashbury Legal Organization), held at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on 5/30/1967.
Poster lists appearances by the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, the Charlatans, Quicksilver Messenger Service and Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin).
Art by (And SIGNED by) Rick Griffin (in gold paint pen), Stanley Mouse (in black flair pen) and Alton Kelley (in gold paint pen), image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 193 (plate 2.206).
Medium flat index stock poster is in good/decent (B/B-) condition; the poster has been washed to remove stains, and in the process a good portion of the red/brown pass of ink on the photo was bleached out, leaving the background a dull gray, rather than a light brown/dark red- aside from that, there is a bit of moisture warp to the paper, a couple of ultra-tiny stress/tightening bends hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.... no holes/tears or other major conditional issues... and the signatures are all large and legit.
