Original 1st printing 14&1/2 x 25&1/4" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Spirit of Creation at the Student Union Ballroom on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on 4/12/1969.
Art by Richard Taylor, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 382 (plate 4.156).
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a series of soft pin-prick age spots/tiny stains scattered around the top margin area, along with a few more hiding within the image area (some are harder to see than others), plus a semi-soft 2" horizontal/diagonal bend in the upper right margin/edge, a few minor edge/corner dings, a 2&1/2" thin diagonal bend in the lower left corner, several stray pinch/handling dings and tiny surface scratches and a series of soft stains on the reverse (a few are just barely starting to bleed through to the front), otherwise fine.
Overall, a very decent-looking original 1st printing 1969 Grateful Dead concert poster from a (reportedly) VERY tiny venue. Check out a GREAT-sounding recording of the show (including Bob Weir's infamously horrid "yellow dog" joke) HERE;
