Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with the Charlatans and Blue Cheer at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 3/31-4/1/1967.

 

 Art by Victor Moscoso, image is # 55 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. 

 

 Medium flat index index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a series of handling dings/soft bends and a tiny stress/pinch bend in the upper left border/margin, a soft diagonal bend in the upper right margin area leading to a thin 3" jagged stress bend that starts at about 1:00 on the diamond and extends up towards the top edge, plus a couple of soft tiny pin-prick age spots, a whisper of surface wear and one or two ultra-tiny thin stress creases hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.

 

 A VERY nice-looking example (no holes or tears) of this early-'67 1st printing Moscoso poster from the Avalon. AWESOME all-San Francisco lineup on this one!
