Original 1st printing and official promoter-issued 2nd printing concert posters (one of each) for the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 1/27-28/1967.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is # 45 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
The 1st printing edition (13&7/8 x 20&1/8") is on medium-thin index stock (printed with metallic gold ink) and is in very good (B/B+) condition; there's a 1/2 x 1/4" chunk of missing paper in the right center margin (a small "wedge pull" from a pair of staple holes), a set of tiny staple holes in each of the four corners and the top/bottom/left center margins, plus a few ultra-light fingerprints/soft handling dings and a couple of nearly-invisible pin-prick surface stains, otherwise fine... a GREAT-looking example.
The second printing (14 x 20&1/8", on slightly thicker index stock) is in near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; just the slightest hint of surface wear and a well-camouflaged tiny diagonal bend in the upper right corner, otherwise unbeatable.
A GREAT-LOOKING set of BOTH printings of the FD 45 poster!
