Original 1st printing 14&7/8 x20" concert poster for Sun Ra and His Myth Science Arkestra appearing with the MC5 at Community Arts Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State University in Detroit, MI on 6/18/1967.

 Art by Gary Grimshaw, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 298 (plate 3.134).

 Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; a set of pin holes (one in each corner), numerous stray edge tears (including a 3" horizontal tear in the upper right margin (taped on the reverse), a small 1/4-1/2" chunk out of the top right edge, a moderate to heavy degree of creasing/handling wear, a series of tiny pin-prick age spots and soft stains scattered around the image area, a series of light moisture stains and a set of fossilized tape marks on the reverse (starting to very slightly bleed through to the front of the image)... this example exhibits all of the tell-tale signs of being pulled down hastily from public display- I'm 99% certain that it was used to advertise the show.

 Conditional issues aside, it is still a very presentable (if a bit used) example of this AWESOME Grimshaw image from the AOR.
