Original 1st printing 14&1/4 x 20" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with the Sons of Champlin and Taj Mahal and the Blue Flames at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 10/27-29/1967.

 Art by Rick Griffin, image ("Sunday Funnies" or "Mornin' Papa") is # 89 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Medium flat index stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; several scattered staple holes (about 10-11 total in all four corners and several hiding within the image), a small brown stain (about 3/4") in the lower right corner (tape residue bleeding through from the reverse) with a small pull/tiny tear, an area of subtle toning/discoloration in the upper right quadrant, numerous tiny surface scuffs/dings, light handling wear and a couple of small pen scratches on the reverse (top center and lower left corner) otherwise fine.

 An overall very decent-looking 1st printing example of this perennial Griffin favorite from the Avalon.
