Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for folk-pop-rockers the Grass Roots (first version) appearing with the Leaves and the Grateful Dead (*5/28 only) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/27-28/1966.

 Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Wes Wilson, image ("Hayfever") is # 10 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Medium flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to near mint to excellent (A- to A-/B+) condition; a set of tack holes and a few tiny edge tears have been filled in/sealed, along with a few minor surface touch-ups, plus there is a tiny hairline diagonal bend in the lower right corner and a whisper of handling, but overall the piece looks SUPERB. Top-notch restoration work on this example... very minimal/unobtrusive.

 A VERY crisp/sharp specimen of this early Family Dog image with a nice large Wes Wilson signature.
