Pair of original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyers for Canned Heat appearing with Evergreen Blue Shoes and the Travel Agency from 4/8-10/1968, and for a Strike Benefit for underground FM station KPPC featuring the Doors, Canned Heat, Taj Mahal, U.S.A., Pacific Gas & Electric, Bo Diddley and Love on 4/11/1968*, all shows held at the Kaleidoscope in Los Angeles, CA. (*this item appears to be a one-off hand-lettered (not offset print) piece)

 Artist/designer(s) unknown (the Canned Heat flyer is signed "NE '68"), thin flat stock flyers are both in decent/used (B-) condition; both items are a bit brittle/dried out from age, they both have fairly extensive corner/edge wear, the KPPC Benefit flyer has a series of flattened horizontal/vertical fold (item was folded into 1/8ths at one point) and a large 4-5" horizontal tear just above "Benefit", both are fairly well toned and have bits of handling, light surface wear, etc... definitely used, but both are EXTREMELY uncommon/scarce Kaleidoscope items.

 The Canned Heat flyer is an alternate image to the #7 (Easter Show) poster image, the KPPC Benefit (which followed on the day after the Canned Heat run) is-as previously mentioned- a hastily-done (likely by someone in the office) hand-lettered (in black flair pen) advertisement for a quickly-thrown-together benefit for striking station employees. There were a number of lineup alterations by the time the show actually happened (Traffic and the Holy Modal Rounders were added, Love and U.S.A. dropped out), but the Doors appearance has been confirmed.
