Original 1st printing 14 x 21&7/8" boxing-style concert poster for "Blues Festival '65- From Country Blues to the Liverpool Beat", a one-day show featuring early Rock & Roll legend Chuck Berry headlining an all-star bill featuring Big Mama Thornton, the Chambers Brothers, Long Gone Miles, Mississippi Fred McDowell and a "Big R&B Band", held at the Berkeley (CA) Community Theater on 2/27/1965. Designer unknown/not credited, medium-thick flat index stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are several large pieces of brown packing tape covering the majority of the reverse side, along with a hard pronounced horizontal center fold/bend going through the center of the image with tiny edge splits on either side, light surface wear (a few light scuffs running along the left margin), a 3/4" triangle of missing paper in the bottom right corner, a hint of warping to the paper and a slightly rounded top left corner tip, otherwise fine. VERY cool-looking mid-'60's pre-psychedelic-era Bay Area poster with a great design highlighted by a classic shot of Chuck Berry in action.
