Original 1st printing 13&7/8 x 17" concert poster for "Rockarama", a five-day series of shows held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 3/26-30/1969. Acts/shows listed include; Santana, It's a Beautiful Day, Lamb, Allmen Joy and Anonymous Artists of America (3/26), Cleveland Wrecking Company, Ace of Cups, the Conqueroo and Morning Glory (3/27), Melting Pot, Cleanliness and Godliness Skiffle Band, Linn County and The 4th Way (3/28), Shades of Joy, Clover, Country Weather and Frumious Bandersnatch (3/29), The Youngbloods, A.B. Skhy, Initial Shock, Alice Cooper and Pure Funk (3/30). Art by underground comix legend Gilbert Shelton ("Fabulous Furry Freak Bros."), image is part of the Soundproof Presents/Avalon series. Medium-thin flat "parchment" index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; a couple of very thin diagonal/horizontal bends in the top left/right corners and along the top margin, a few ultra-tiny pin-prick age spots dotting the outer border area, a few light handling dings and a thin diagonal/horizontal bend running along the bottom border, a stray pinch ding or two and a tiny bit of pencil scratch on the reverse, otherwise fine. One of the less common/oddball images from the Soundproof/Avalon series, this one features a great Gilbert Shelton design.
