Original 1st printing 5&1/4 x 6&5/8" concert handbill for the Grass Roots (the 1st version of the band) appearing with Daily Flash and Sopwith Camel (*7/1-2 only) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 7/1-3/1966.

 Art by Wes Wilson (handbill omits the central image of Salvador Dali by Philippe Halsman), image ("Wonderland") is # 15 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Thin flat stock handbill is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; a series of 5 scattered pin/tack holes going across the top edge, a fairly decent-sized set of tape pulls on the reverse (resulting in thinning of the bottom corners) and a few light handling dings, otherwise fine.

 While not in perfect shape, it is still not too bad for a 49-year-old slice of ultra-thin paper. An overall decent example of this VERY early FD handbill.
