Original 1st printing (OP-2 in the Eric King guide, the lighter green version) 13&7/8 x 20" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with the Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 11/4-5/1966.
Art by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse (both of whom also SIGNED the poster in pencil), image is # 33 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; a hint of toning, a small 1/4" nip out of the bottom right corner tip, tack/pin holes in all four corners and in the top center, a few small surface stains in the corners and in the area of "Circle", a light degree of toning, a few tiny pin-prick age/rust spots, a touch of ink streaking and a few scattered handling dings, otherwise fine. Additionally, this example has a "Lorin Gilette Distribution" stamp on the reverse... very cool!
A great-looking original 1966 1st printing Dead poster with a nice pair of Mouse/Kelley signatures... can't beat it.
